Position Summary:
We are looking for an OT who is quality-focused, values complex care, and wants to be part of a high-functioning, interdisciplinary team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Physicians, Clinical Counsellors, Kinesiologists, Psychiatrists, and Pharmacists. Opportunities exist in our Pain & Medication Management Program (PMMP) and Concurrent Care Program (CCP) supporting the treatment of clients with complex care needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize a range of clinical skills within a biopsychosocial model of care.
As part of our interdisciplinary team of professionals, the Occupational Therapist participates in assessment and treatment for clients with chronic pain and mental health conditions, supports return-to-work, and delivers exceptional quality of life outcomes.

What you will do:
- Work with clients with persistent pain, mental health conditions and/or substance use issues
- Create and implementing treatment plans based on interview and functional assessment
- Think outside the box to overcome barriers to treatment, while dedicating time to foster trust and build a therapeutic alliance with your clients
- Support the return-to-work process (return-to-work planning, job site visits, job coaching, and exploring accommodations) with various stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition into the workplace
- Educate clients on activity pacing, pain, behavioural activation, coping, cognitive behavioural strategies, exposure, and functional activation

- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC

- Newly graduated with a desire to learn & be challenged OR an experienced therapist looking for change
- Clinical experience with persistent pain, post-concussion, mental health, substance use, and/or experience with WorkSafeBC, first responder & Veteran populations is considered an asset
